My name is Jordan and I love Japan.
I especially love anime and I started out posting anime reviews rather crudely on my Tumblr, after about the 4th I discovered Otakuness’ anime review blog. I loved their style and the appearance, so I decided to swap to WordPress myself.
I aim to produce the highest quality content I can. I don’t consider myself to be very good at the moment, but I do set very high standards for myself. Albeit I don’t reach them just yet.
My goal is to become a master reviewer and develop a large audience :D
Who else writes these reviews?
No one, but I am open to letting people join me. I understand that I am not popular (yet?) and I may not be the best (yet?) but if you want to ask just use the contact details below.
Why do you review older series? I don’t care about those, I want new stuff only.
If that’s the sole reason you read my content you’re in the wrong place. I write reviews for old and new, there is a preference on new (I started halfway through Winter 2012, which is why that area is lacking at the moment) and I will always review as many new series as humanly possible, sacrificing old ones. That is, unless I am already reviewing an older series. The main reason I review older series is to fill the gap between release of newer series episodes, however, this only beats the fact that I want to by 0.01%. I don’t write them as fillers, I put the same amount of effort into each review whether I hate or love the series, despite it being old or new.
Why don’t you review comedy? I want reviews on that stuff!
Here’s the deal: If and when I become popular I shall put up a poll on this blog, if people want me to review comedy series (I will link my reviews for Azumanga Daioh and Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou in that poll) then I shall do it.
At the moment I don’t because I don’t know how to explain each episode without repeating exactly what was shown in it. That’s because comedy like Azumanga Daioh and Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou are very random and each episode is purely individual. It isn’t an anime with a heavy plot that just happens to be hilarious, it’s sole goal is to be light on the plot and heavy on the humour.
Make no mistake, I DO REVIEW comedy anime that isn’t of the style Azumanga Daioh and Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou display. That is, ones with actual series plots; stuff to actually talk about.
